Devotional | You Are a Divine Encounter

On the day of Pentecost, Heaven invaded Earth. The Holy Spirit touched those who waited and baptized them. And the ones that weren’t right with God became right with God. It’s all recorded in the book of Acts, chapter 2.

From that day forward, the disciples walked with an open Heaven every day, everywhere they went.

So no matter who we are or what we came out of, when righteousness is understood, purity opens the heavens everywhere you walk.

Nobody can close the heavens up because nobody opened them except the Lord Jesus through His death, burial, and resurrection. Second Corinthians 5:21 (NKJV) tells us so: “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”

The devil doesn’t want you to know this. He doesn’t want you to understand righteousness. He wants you to think that righteousness on this side of eternity is blasphemy, but it is biblically sound.

The Holy Spirit is the promise of the Father. And He lives in you: “But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you” (Romans 8:11, NKJV).

You don’t have to pray for a divine encounter. You are a divine encounter waiting to happen. You don’t have to pray about where to go. Just go. You don’t have to pray about who to touch, who to pray for. Just pray for somebody.

Don’t wait for God to tell you with some loud, booming voice, “Pray for this person!” The Bible says that “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God” (Romans 8:14, NKJV). Just the very fact that you have the Holy Spirit in you means that everybody’s fair game for a miracle.

If you look at people and think you can pick and choose who Jesus did or didn’t pay a price for, you’re so mistaken. You can’t do that, because He paid the price for all!

Eternal life isn’t just when you get to Heaven. Eternal life starts when you have a relationship with the Father here on Earth. We live to destroy Hell here on Earth because the heavens are open to us, and then one day, we will enter into the glory of the Lord. But right now, we can live and bring God’s glory everywhere we go.

You are a divine encounter. It’s time to make the devil wish that he never touched the Bride of Christ. Now, go and terrorize the devil’s camp.

Challenge For Today:

Step out of hesitation. Ask the Holy Spirit to highlight one person today—then go pray for them, encourage them, or share the love of Jesus. Don’t overthink it. Just move.

Prayer:

Father, I thank You that You’ve made me right with You through Jesus. Thank You for the gift of the Holy Spirit living inside of me. Help me to see myself the way You see me—as a carrier of Your presence. Give me boldness to step out, love people, and bring Heaven wherever I go. Let my life reveal Your power, Your truth, and Your goodness. In Jesus’ name, amen.
