Devotional | If You’ve Seen Jesus, You’ve Seen the Father
“... He who has seen Me has seen the Father …”
John 14:9 (nkjv)
That statement changes everything.
Jesus said in John 5:19 (NKJV) that, “... the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.”
The life of Jesus is the Father on full display.
Scripture tells us that God so loved the world that He gave — not demanded, not punished, not withheld. He GAVE.
When people encounter love in action, hearts open. That’s how the gospel spreads — not through arguments, but through revelation. It’s the kindness of God that leads us to repentance (Romans 2:4).
Jesus came to make us right with the Father and to set us free through the free gift of righteousness.
And when we live from that place — loved, secure, and free — we become living demonstrations of the Father’s heart.
Prayer
Jesus, thank You for revealing the Father to me. Teach me to live as a true reflection of His love — in my words, actions, and attitude. Let my life preach the gospel. Amen.
Reflection Questions
- How do I view the Father today?
- Does my life reflect what Jesus revealed about God?
- Who in my life needs to encounter the Father’s love through me?
Challenge for Today
Represent the Father well. Choose kindness, patience, and love — even when it costs you. Especially then.
In freedom,
