"

Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.

MARK 16:15 NKJV

                                  "

Jesus said, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” All the world is Walmart. All the world is Chipotle. All the world is the mall. All the world is our workplaces or schools. It doesn’t matter where we go  — if it’s in the world, it’s “all the world.”

Sometimes we look at that Scripture and think, “Well, that’s just for missionaries.” Be very careful not to believe that only missionaries or evangelists are supposed to preach the gospel. Jesus wasn’t speaking to missionaries or the five-fold ministry. He was speaking to disciples. He was speaking to you and me.

Every day, you and I witness what we give ourselves to. If you give yourself to football, you’ll witness football. If you give yourself to baseball, you’ll witness baseball. If you give yourself to gambling, you’ll witness gambling. If you give yourself to p*rn*gr*phy, you’ll witness p*rn*gr*phy. If you give yourself to the world, you’ll witness for the world. But if you give yourself to truth, you will naturally be a witness for Jesus.

The reality is — we’ve got to get past fear. First John 4:18 (NKJV) says, “... perfect love casts out fear …” All of us have been called into the same gospel of Jesus Christ. Your gospel and my gospel are no different. If I’m going to go into all the world and preach the gospel, I have to know what the gospel is. The gospel seems too good to be true — but it is true. God can take a messed-up sinner, twisted drug addict, demonically bound person — like I was — and make them brand new.

The gospel gave me eyes to see. My soul was trained by the god of this world, but when the gospel came, it set me free. My eyes must be blood-washed by the Cross so I can see clearly. When my eyes are washed by the blood, my past doesn’t exist — I step into my present and future. But if I don’t believe the Good News, it’s hard to share the Good News. You don’t have to be an evangelist to preach the gospel. You have to believe the truth of what Jesus says about you — that you’re forgiven of all your sin. And He didn’t just forgive it — He washed it away as though it never existed.

Now you can wake up clean and free. You can look in the mirror and know that your sins and my lawless deeds — God remembers them no more. (Hebrews 10:17) When I confessed to God, He cleansed me from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9) And if He made me clean, the only one who can make me feel dirty again is the devil and his lies.

Jesus paid a price for you to be a brand-new creation. Old things have passed away — all things become new. (2 Corinthians 5:17) From day one of salvation, you can preach the gospel… but you must believe you’re forgiven and washed or you’ll share from a dirty conscience. You’re not dirty. You’re blood-bought and Spirit-filled. God cleansed your mind, will, and emotions from guilt, shame, and condemnation — and now you get to preach the gospel!

Prayer

Father, thank You for the blood of Jesus that makes me clean. Wash my eyes to see myself and others through Your truth. Remove fear from my life and make me bold to share the Good News of Jesus Christ everywhere I go. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Challenge for Today

Share the gospel with one person today — at a store, gas station, restaurant, or wherever you are. Step past fear. Jesus is with you.

Bless you,

Todd White
