“... who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”
Esther 4:14 (NKJV)
You were born for this hour. You’re not an accident. You’re chosen, set-apart, positioned right where you are for such a time as this. But you’ve got to seize the moment. You can’t afford to stay silent. There’s only one you in your sphere of influence, and Heaven is counting on your “yes.”
The only reason people around you aren’t being transformed is because of silence. I’m not bold because I’ve worked up boldness. I’m bold because I know I’m loved by the Creator of the universe. When you know how loved you are, boldness becomes effortless. It’s like when you get engaged: nobody has to force you to talk about the one you love. Nothing can shut you up. How much more should it be with Jesus — your Bridegroom for all eternity?
But here’s the deal: you can’t walk in that kind of boldness if you’re still holding on to idols. God hasn’t called you to comfortability — He’s called you to complete surrender. Abraham chose obedience and laid Isaac on the altar because God was testing who had first place in Abraham’s heart. And some of us have “Isaacs” we’re protecting: things that look holy, look like purpose, look “good” by all accounts, but have actually become idols.
If you’re going to step into the moment you were created for, you’ve got to lay down what you were never created for. Boldness comes from love — and love grows where idols die. When you finally surrender everything, nothing stands between you and the Father. That’s when you come alive, shake off the numbness of the world, and carry the power of the gospel everywhere you go.
Life on this earth is not just about getting to Heaven — it’s about destroying hell on the way there.
1. Ask the Holy Spirit: “What is my Isaac?” Write it down — and surrender it.
2. Share Jesus intentionally with ONE person. Even a simple: “Hey, God loves you.” Do something to break the silence and allow God to work in someone’s life through you today!
Championing you,
Todd White
