Devotional | A Bold Prayer for Devotion This Christmas

“Draw near to god and he will draw near to you.”

 James 4:8 (NKJV)

As Christmas approaches tomorrow, let’s fix our hearts on what truly matters — Jesus. I want to pray a prayer of devotion with you. Will you join me and read this aloud or even just under your breath?

Holy Spirit, have Your way in me today and every day. Father, I want “the more” of You that is available to us as your children — more intimacy, more love, more faith, more of your power displayed in my life. I don’t want a surface-level faith. I want to be swallowed up by You, to live so hidden in You, that nothing of this world can touch me. I want to hear Your voice in the middle of the ordinary, in the chaos, and in the quiet — every single moment of my life. I want You to speak louder than any storm outside and calm every storm inside of me.

Teach me to live like You lived — full of power, full of love, full of wisdom. Help me walk into every room carrying Your presence so strongly that miracles follow me, yet humility and righteousness guide my steps. Let me love like You, forgive like You, and bring hope and reconciliation wherever I go. Make us a people who point to You in every word, every action, every glance.

Holy Spirit, we want to be fully surrendered. We want to die to ourselves so Christ is exalted in us. Let us walk in such devotion and fire that people see Jesus in our lives. Let our hearts burn for You, our hands serve without hesitation, and our lives shine so brightly that Your glory is unmistakable. This Christmas, let our devotion rise higher than ever. Let it transform us from the inside out.

Challenge for Today

Ask the Holy Spirit to show you one place in your heart that needs to be fully surrendered. Let Him ignite your passion for Jesus this season — so fiery, so alive, so unshakable.

Merry Christmas,

Todd White
